We are Teun and Marina. We live in Rio Vermelho with our dog, in a house with a garden that already had an orchard when we bought it.

The garden
The previous owner planted much of the garden. We are building around the trees instead of clearing the land.
Why we are doing this
We are both from elsewhere and have made Florianópolis home. We wanted a place where guests stay close to the sea and the park, and where the things in the rooms were made by someone you can meet.
How we build
Low buildings, natural materials and deep roofs. We plan around the light, the trees and the neighbours’ privacy.
